Twenty Years of Love and Enmity

In the late Yuan Dynasty, a scholar named Fan Man-him (Fan Wenqian) is chased by Yuen soldiers, so he goes to stay in a temple and hides his identity. He meets Yu Man Shuk-han (Yuwen Shuxian), the daughter of the Admiral, and falls in love with her. Shuk-han’s father, Yu-man Chi Ho (Yuwen Zhihao), asks him to marry into the Yu Man Family. When Chiu Pak-yu (Zhao Bairu) and Lee Yuk-wah (Li Yuhua) know Man-him has married into his enemy, they try every means to tell him the fact. In order to save Man-him from the jaws of death, they have planned to dock a boat at the riverside and Man-him will come to join them at midnight to sail to the south. Can Man-him finally escape? How will his grievances of the Yu Man Family be settled?
