    Hiding from law, Zhao Kuangyin flees away the capital and shelters himself at his uncle’s monastery. One day, when Kuangyin is wandering around, he hears a lady screaming for help from a cave. Kuangyin breaks into the cave and rescues Zhao Jingniang, who was kidnapped while visiting her family’s grave. Having sympathy on Jingniang, Kuangyin decides to become her sworn brother. Jingniang observes Kuangyin’s affection towards her. However, Kuangyin insists on escorting her home, solely out of love and care as a brother.

     

    Pan Jinlian Seducing Her Brother-in-law

    Wu Song is assigned as the chief officer of his homeland after defeating a tiger. One day, he pays a visit to his brother’s family but his brother is away. His brother’s wife Pan Jinlian is attracted by Wu Song’s appearance and bravery. She expresses her affection towards Wu Song with seducing words. Wu Song rejects her and leaves home. Yet, worrying this woman may stir up conflicts between the brothers, he returns and explains the conception of virtues and chastity to Jinlian. However, Jinlian does not bother to listen his words. It ends up Jinlian and Wu Song dislike each other.
