Footprints in the Snow

The daughter of the Prime Minister, Yu’e choose her husband by throwing ball, and the penniless scholar Mengzheng got hit by it. The Prime Minister finds him too poor to be worthy hence rejects him, Yu’e insists it is destiny so the Minister also kicks her out. The two can only make a living by beggaring while disdained all along, all until the in fact talented Mengzheng scores top in the imperial exam. Now a high-rank official, those who disdained him comes and want to bride him. The couple returns to where they have been beggaring, the sad story they wrote here has already been covered up. It is a story about how fickle and miserable humans can be.
