This is a story about three historical characters with a complicated relationship and life in the Three Kingdoms. The ambitious warlord Cao Cao is determined to bring the upright hero Guan Yu to Han, the Kingdom he belongs, by bestowing horse and high rank on him, and alienating him from Liu Bei and Zhang Fei with tricks. Guan Yu finally accepts the offer with three conditions. Cao Cao pretends to accept but sends the beauteous Diao Chan to seduce Guan Yu.
