A Mismatched Couple

Ka Sin-yan, who owns a pharmacy and acts his way as a general practitioner in the open but keeps selling erotic philtre in the shade. Ka Sin-yan is bent on marrying his adopted daughter Yu-fung off to Lord Chiu Shing-kei. However, Yu-fung has fallen in love with General Kwok Man-lung and has been intimate with him unexpectedly after accidentally drinking erotic philtre. Ka Sin-yan has no choice but to let his adopted daughter Yu-fung marry General Kwok Man-lung. Lui Kung-mong, General Kwok Man-lung’s uncle, noses out that Yu-fung and Kwok Man-lung are siblings and then becomes a hindrance to their marriage by persuading Kwok Man-lung to marry another lady - Princess Yuk-ngo, the little sister of Lord Chiu Shing-kei. When Ka Sin-yan and Yu-fung are on the way to the wedding, they know the shocking news there is one more bride at the wedding. And therefore, Yu-fung and Yuk-ngo lost their temper and struck out wildly at the wedding ceremony. The bridegroom, Kwok Man-lung cannot handle this unbearable chaos and feels so deflated. He jumps into a river to commit suicide. Out of compassion for Yu-fung's terrible suffering, Lord Chiu Shing-kei allows Yu-fung to stay at his house and takes care of her and her father. Luckily Kwok Man-lung does not die. A year later, he figures out a way to meet Yu-fung and her son secretly. Kwok Man-lung tells Yu-fung that they are siblings and that is the reason why he committed suicide. Then, realizing that Kwok Man-lung and Yu-fung are catching up on the sly, Ka Sin-yan tells these star-crossed lovers that the baby blanket of Yu-fung and Yuk-ngo was switched. Yu-fung's real identity is Lord Chiu Shing-kei's sister and Yuk-ngo is the little sister of Kwok Man-lung. Ka Sin-yan's word makes the truth comes to light. After suffering untold hardships, all shall be well, Jack shall have Jill.
