Performance Introduction

Kingdom of Song was weak, so Princess Caifeng proposed to her father to invite all princes of neighboring kingdoms to ask for her hand. At the end, she fell in love with Gai Shiying, the general commander in chief from the Kingdom of Cai. On the wedding day, the proud Princess refused to get on with the journey to the Kingdom of Cai. Shiying was furious and he stroke the military drums to urge her. Finally King Zhuang of Song had to settle the incident. Lin Fengyi was jealous of the Princess, so she provoked Shiying's aunt, Emei, causing conflict between the mother- and daughter-in-law. Shiying asked the Princess to yield to his aunt. Han Wudi and Zhao Wuwei were upset at the Princess' refusal so they joined forces to invade the Kingdom of Cai. Shiying was defeated but the Princess used her wits to save him and incited mistrust between Han and Zhao. Emei was worried for Shiying's life, so she forced Shiying to apologize to the Princess. Caifeng then agreed to ask for reinforcements from the Kingdom of Song, assisting her husband to fight Han and Zhao.
