Performance Introduction

Kiu Dan-fung, a brilliant girl with civil and military talents, is proficient in Chinese medicine. She is always at odds with Dai Sam-ku, a woman quack opposite to her clinic. Cheung Chong-ci, a marquis from Huainan, looks for his mother, who has left him in his childhood. Sam-ku disguises herself as Chong-ci’s mother so as to cheat him for his fortune. Chong-ci is fooled by Sam-ku and thinks that she is his mother.

Chong-ci has a prenatal betrothal with Szema Chiu-tung; yet he is in discord with Chiu-tung’s brother, which bothers the marriage. Meanwhile, Chiu-tung has a secret love with a nobleman and seeks help from Dan-fung in order to escape from the marriage with Chong-ci. Thus Dan-fung disguises herself as Chiu-tung and decides to spoil the marriage. However, Chong-ci and Dan-fung fall in love with each other when they first meet. Sam-ku learns that Dan-fung has impersonated Chiu-tung and plans to unmask her. But Sam-ku herself is also a fake and cannot unveil Dan-fung’s plot. Eventually Chong-ci and Dan-fung manage to have their wedding in the end.
