<p>Studied at and graduated from Guangdong Cantonese Opera Academy and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He has a rich and diverse repertory and is adored by audience. In 2014, Wang was an recipient of Outstanding Performance Awards of West Kowloon Xiqu Centre&rsquo;s &lsquo;Rising Stars in Cantonese Opera Showcase&rsquo;. In 2016, Wang received an award from RTHK Radio 5 for being a promising young talent in the industry.&nbsp;</p>

Since 2012, the Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong has become the venue partner of Yau Ma Tei Theatre, with the aim to nurture new talents ranging from performers to backstage practitioners. The Showcase is supported by revered industry titans as Artistic Director and offering hands-on tutoring to over one hundred young talents. By staging more than one hundred performances and outreach programmes each year, the Showcase not only hopes to pass on the legacy to the young artists, but also attract new audience, encouraging them to appreciate the genuine beauty of the traditional Cantonese opera - which is the only art form of Hong Kong enlisted onto UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
