Goddess of the Ninth Heaven

On the way to redeem a vow to Buddha, Lang Sheung-Sim (Leng Shuangchan), a young lady who lives in Fuzhou, encounters Ngai King-Long (Ai Jinglang), a poor scholar who makes a living by selling his paintings. And they happen to live a stone’s throw from each other. Therefore, the young couple reveals their innermost feelings through love letters. When Lang Sheung-Sim and Ngai King-Long solve all difficulties, and finally it comes to the wedding, the King of Min wants to marry Lang Sheung-Sim as a concubine. Facing this irresistible order, Ngai King-Long and Lang Sheung-Sim are so despaired and finally commit suicide for love. However, they are still alive, which reveals their turn identity...
