Trapped at the Cao Residence at Night
Chiu Hong-yan, following the orders of Kwok Wai, went to Yanjing to assassinate Lau Wong-fa but was detained by Tsui Long. Chiu was later saved by Madam Cheung, Cho Yi’'s sister-in-law, Madam Cheung. After the release, Chiu was invited by Cho to his house, and that night, they had a private conversation in which Chiu mocked Madam Cheung, who had overheard it and was filled with shame and anger. She then hanged herself. That night, Chiu dreamed of Wah Tor, the legendary physician, coming to remove a tumor from him, and after being cured, Wah Tor asked for a title. Chiu granted him a divine title. The spirit of Madam Cheung also appeared to ask for a title, so Chiu named her the Holy Mother of the Camellias of Huashan Mountain. Upon waking, Chiu saw Cho crying loudly over his sister-in-law’s death. He told Cho about his dream, and Cho was deeply grateful for the naming.

On his way of retreating, Chau was severely wounded by Cheung Fei at the Reed Marshes, who had been commanded to disguise himself as a fisherman and ambush Chau. In a fury, Chow fainted.
Searching the Palace
The "Palace Search" is a traditional formulaic performance. It depicts a search for persons or objects in the palace. With little singing or dialogue, the actors use their movements, gestures, and expressions for creating the visual narrative. The female performers demonstrate challenging movements on high platforms, such as "Searching the Sea," "Shooting the Wild Geese," "Sleeping Fish," and "Twisting the Waist."
