Performance Introduction

Liu Yanchang falls in love with Holy Matron at a temple on Mount Hua and inscribes a poem on its sash. The Holy Matron is moved and falls for him too. Erlang is enraged when he finds out that his sister has married a human and gave birth to a son named Chenxiang. Erlang orders Howler to steal Holy Matron’s lotus lantern. He then leads an army to arrest the family. Fortunately, the Immortal Thunder intercedes. Hence, the father and son are spared but Holy Matron is imprisoned underneath Mount Hua for violating the laws of Heaven.

Yanchang remarries and has a son, Qiuer with his new wife Huang Guiying. One day, the brothers stand up for their classmate and accidentally kill the Great Preceptor’s son. Guiying surrenders Qiuer, her own son, to the Great Preceptor. Chenxiang is told about his true parentage and sets out to rescue his mother.
