Chen Jingru

Chen Jingru graduated from Guangdong Cantonese Opera School in 2019. Then she studied at the School of Chinese Opera of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Specializing in Sang character. His repertoire includes: Magpie Bridge Meeting, “War” from The Impetuous Generals, Farewell, My Husband, Mu Guiying’s Marriage Proposal, Grab an umbrella, “Stealing poems” from The Story of Jade Hairpin and Pearl Bay. She won the 10th "Suzhou Cup" Newcomer Award of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the 7th Guangdong Province Little Plum Blossom Gathering Silver Flower Award and full scholarship for the 2022-23 academic year.

    I hope Cantonese Opera can be inheritance for generations.
  • What aspect of the art do you think you need to work on?
    The most important thing I need to be honed is script analysis. it helps to dive into the storyline and characters.
  • What are your most coveted roles?
    Lu Bu, since character Lu Bu can be literally and martial.
