He started learning the art of Cantonese opera at the age of five at the Sing Fai Cantonese Opera Promotion Association Ltd under the tutelage of Yeung Kim-wah, Fong Suet-ying, Chung Cheuk-wa, Tsang Kin-man and Yeung Lai-hung. In recent years, he also studied Southern school of Cantonese opera under the guidance of senior practitioner Ho Chi-shing, and was fortunate to receive further instruction and advice from experienced artists such as Mok Shing-lun and Choi Yuen-ling.
He has participated in exchange performances in various locations, including Macau, Zhongshan, Beijing, the United States, Canada, Singapre and Malaysia.
