Taking advantage of his national superiority, the crown prince Dik Fu of Kingdom Yanlang reaches Kingdom Fengyi to force Chiu Yin-kam, daughter of the Imperial Censor, to marry him, but is teased by her fiancé General Kwan Yat-fung instead. In his fury, Dik Fu leads his troops to attack Kingdom Fengyi. When there are no more soldiers and food to continue the defense, Yat-fung decides to die for his country. He takes poison and persuades Yin-kam to fake killing him and remarry Dik Fu to save their unborn babies.
After Yin-kam becomes the Queen of Yelang, her son, Siu-ngan, and daughter, Siu-tsui, grow up. However, they regard Dik Fu as their father. Yin-kam suffers even more when they brutally treat the king of Fengyi and his subjects to celebrate her birthday. Siu-ngan is scolded by Yin-kam and feels puzzled. Seizing the chance, servant Bau Chong tells Siu-ngan the long-lasting hostilities of the two kingdoms. Siu-ngan then tries to kill Yin-kam at the nunnery.
After Yin-kam disclosed the true story in tears, Siu-ngan and Siu-tsui send a punitive expedition against Dik Fu to revenge for their father. Upon the restoration of Kingdom Fengyi, Yin-kam kills herself in front of Yat-fung’s grave to show her loyalty.
