Return of True Love

Cho Tsz-yuk, the champion of the Jin imperial examination for both civil and military officers, becomes Princess Kam Fung’s favorite and is designated by Duke Huai to be the consort prince. However, King Xiang of Zhao is fond of her beauty and sends a letter to propose marriage. Infuriated by his envoy being expelled, he leads his troops to attack Jin. Kam Fung gives Tsz-yuk her armlet as a love token when he sets off for the battlefield unwillingly.

Tsz-yuk loses in the fight and flees because King Xiang is so brave and skillful, and he sends someone to return Kam Fung the armlet. Unexpectedly, the messenger is killed on the battlefield. Kam Fung believes that Tsz-yuk is dead, so she and Princess Ngan Fung plead with Duke Huai to let them die for their chastity when the Zhao soldiers invade the royal city. However, King Xiang threatens with a massacre and Kam Fung desperately gives her consent to the marriage. On the way to Zhao with King Xiang, Kam Fung picks up the armlet at the collective tomb……
