Liang first experienced Cantonese opera when he was 10 years old and began training under Wu Weiming who is a senior instructor of the Guangdong Cantonese Opera School when he was 11 years old. He enrolled in the Guangdong Cantonese Opera School at the age of 13 to pursue a career in Cantonese opera. At the age of 19, he was granted a full scholarship from the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts of Performing Arts (Chinese Opera), and specializing in male roles. He has performed in Hong Kong, Guangdong, Macau, Taiwan, New Zealand, Australia, the United States and other countries.
