Chow Lok-tung
Performed with the Hong Kong Children and Juvenile Chinese Opera Troupe. Chow studied under Cheung Po-wah, Guan Shizhen, Chow Chun-bong, Shi Jihua. She graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, specializing in female roles. Chow was vocally coached by Ye Anyi and Yu Chung-yan. She studied movement and repertoire under Tai Shing-kwan, Liu Li, Ying Kam-sha and Hong Hai.
- Which role(s) would you like to play if you get a chance to?Tse Seong-ngo in the Beauty and the General and Li Saam-neong in the Reunion by a White Hare.
- Which of your undertakings are you most proud of thus far?Yiu Fung-linin The Heroes and the Beauty, Yeung Seung Hingin the Ten-Year Dream, Chiu Yung in the Reincarnation of the Lady Plum Blossom. They are all playful and mischievous roles.
- Which Cantonese Opera veteran(s) are you a fan of, and why?I admire Ms. Nam Fung for her full and mellow voice, Wan Fai-yin for her intricate portrayal of characters, Wong Chiu-kwan for her light and razor-sharp movements and Susanna Cheng for her generous feedback to junior actors.
