Dick Yeung
Apprenticed for 14 years. Specializing in male warrior roles. He graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Chinese Opera from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Upon his graduation from the Academy, he joined Sensational Sprouts Cantonese Opera Association and began his apprenticeship under Zhang Caizhen. In 2019, Yeung became a member of our Young Talent Showcase.
- Which of your undertakings are you most proud of?Lee Hung-yat in The Reunion by a White Hare
- Which veteran artist are you a fan of, and why?I admire maestro Yuen Siu-fai a lot. He is able to paint intricate portrayal of characters through his incomparably solid vocal techniques, movement and mastery of the martial arts.
- What has been the greatest reward of joining our Young Talent Showcase?During the rehearsal process, the artistic directors patiently instructed us and explained in-depth the layers and subtext of characters and scripts, providing us with plenty of fruit for thought.
