  • What is your quest in art?
I would like to put my best foot forward with each performance. I endeavor to honor and preserve this traditional local art form and attract a younger viewership to come to the theater.
  • Please share an interesting anecdote or an unforgettable moment on stage.
I was playing the lead role in Revenge at Guang Chang Long at the Yau Ma Tei Theater while having a fever. I was singing a faansin yiwong (an aria type) passage when I was on my way to change my costume and makeup backstage. The zipper of my costume briefly got stuck. It was such a close call.
  • What has been the greatest reward of joining our Young Talent Showcase?
To be able to learn from the artistic directors, especially when performing one of their scripts. From read-throughs to rehearsals to performances, we were guided and instructed by these seasoned professionals, analyzing and pointing out our problems individually. It’s such a precious and rare opportunity.
