  • Which veteran artist(s) are you a fan of, and why?
Bak Shuet-sin and Chan Ho-kau. They are very dedicated and perfectionistic artists. If better is possible, good is not enough for them. Their enthusiasm and commitment for the art is very inspiring to younger artists like myself.
  • Please share an interesting anecdote or an unforgettable moment onstage
It was during an interactive performance of The Monkey King Thrice Beats the Bony Ghost staged for students, one of the peacock feathers was detached from my helmet when I was doing an acrobatic stunt. Luckily, it wasn’t stepped on so we were able to fix it after.
  • What has been the greatest reward of joining our Young Talent Showcase?
To be coached by all the artistic directors and being given so many performance opportunities. To be able to learn old formulaic plays like the Execution of the Duke’s Second Brother and Jinlian’s Seduction of her Brother-in-law was a particularly valuable experience. I would like to give special thanks to Wan Fai-yin, one of the artistic directors, for entrusting me with a leading female role.
