  • What aspect of the art do you think you need to work on?
    Cultivation, patience, understanding, decorum.
  • What would be your quest in the art?
As a service to the bygone sages, extend their teachings and spread peace for posterity.
  • How do you see the future of the art?
In terms of development, not optimistic. How do you propagate an art form while lacking talents? The art is a tight knit affair; one man’s effort does not a good performance make, yet the converse is true when one link breaks. Development is not a one-man, one-time affair—we need a critical mass, a confluence of heart and will, and concentration in cultivation and technical elevation. The future begins now. We need solid efforts in our performances, by which we can build Rome, starting from sand, then bricks, and then roads before we see the future.
